Kind words about The Golden Chalice of Hunahpu from poet David Watts

Imagine how ambitious a task it would be to write an historical novel set 500 years ago, written in three distinct first person voices, demanding a convincing demonstration of cultural authenticity in more than one culture and then to weave a compelling narrative through it all. Vlach has done it and managed in the process to provide us strong characters, conflict, love, self-doubt, psychological understanding and a rare quality of mysticism that melds itself seamlessly with the reality of life in the most difficult of times. A compelling read. Well done! David Watts, author of Bedside Manners and The Orange Wire Problem
